Caroline Patrick Birdwell and Peggy Patrick Medberry, are two sisters who love all things  desert. Caroline has lived in Tucson for more than 30 years, and Peggy arrived two years ago. Their love of the plants, wildlife, and sunsets has given rise to a desire to share their enthusiasm with others.

 

Caroline works as a GIS specialist and consultant with her company Happy Desert. She teaches at the University of Arizona, and is a gifted photographer, potter and fine artist. Her three crazy dogs and long phone calls with her sister keep her busy.

 

 Peggy, a former college professor, literary agent, and producer from California is a recent transplant to the Tucson area after declaring she would never live in the desert. Within minutes of arriving, she fell in love with the stunning beauty of the Sonoran landscape and was overwhelmed with the deep spiritual connection she felt with the area. When not communing with nature, Peggy spends her time with her husband,  writing, wrangling three cats and bothering her sister.
